Interesting and simple concept well executed on a high quality water bottle. Taking advantage of the convenience of MagSafe on Apple devices, HydroRig has integrated this simple solution onto the lid of its bottle. This provides a secure and convenient to use phone mount on something that is always at your side - your water bottle. The mount is pose-able and has a ring of strong magnets ensuring that it provides a multi-functional stand for video calls, watching videos, taking shots/videos hands free, and a solid place to leave your phone while working on - instead of leaving it on the floor. The minimalist design and construction details are of high quality giving the bottle a super clean aesthetic. The lid seals well and the bottle keeps my water ice cold for plenty of hours due to the dual-wall construction. The finish on the bottle is durable and a beautiful matte texture.
Unfortunately there are some down sides - the bottle is a bit heavy and not exactly easy to care considering it only has the hinged ring phone mount to hold onto which isn't all too comfortable on the fingers while full. I also do not like the fact that the lid does not properly cover the section where you place your mouth to drink making it a bit unsanitary if not careful. Lastly - this is a premium product - the details of the water bottle and packaging are of high quality - but I think its a bit simple overall for the price point. While the price may be a bit steep, the modern design and innovative feature make it a worthwhile investment for those who value convenience and functionality packaged in a simple design.
